X Factor: FINALE PERFORMANCES

WOW this was a great show! All the acts from the top 12 came back and the show started with Simon announcing the tribute they will be making to the kids and teachers who were killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The acts performed "You Are Not Alone" by Michael Jackson, and it was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking.

Beatrice started out, and she did beautifully. Arin followed, also singing really well. Then came Diamond, who always shines. Cece was next, followed by Paige who kind of struggled, but then we got to see Vino who was amazing and Jennel who also sang well. Emblem 3 even did a nice job and then the finalists arrived, starting with Tate, then Fifth Harmony, and Carly who really shined. And then they all sang together and the kids names were all lit up behind them and I cried. And I mean I know I cried for Diamond and Cece's thanksgiving performances, but this was so beautiful and so heartbreaking, it was really heartfelt. Demi was probably balling but we didn't get to see her face.

Now the finals begin. The 3 acts must sing a song that they've already performed. Carly Rose went first with "Feeling Good" and although it's not my favorite song, she always rocks it. Tate was next, also performing his audition song and he did amazing. Fifth Harmony sang "Anything Can Happen," which they just sang last week and didn't bother changing the set-up either. It was kind of lazy, but it still is their best performance.

Next, we learn that they will get duets with a celebrity. Carly Rose sang with LeAnn Rimes, and while Carly did well, LeAnn looked awful and sang awful. I felt bad for Carly. Tate sang with three country singers, it was something like Little Big Planet....probably not but something like it. It wasn't anything spectacular, but he was having fun, and I'm guessing they didn't have much time to rehearse these duets. Fifth Harmony's was by FAR the best because they performed "Give Your Heart a Break" with Demi Lovato herself, and man Demi is a star. She was so good Simon gave her a standing ovation. He even said she was "sensational" and "pop perfection." Wow. That's impressive coming from Simon. Especially to Demi.

Their last performance is their 5 Million Dollar performance, and this is what it all comes down to. Carly Rose sang the Shrek version of Hallelujah (which is much better than the original version, if you haven't heard it look it up!) and this was my favorite performance of hers. She looked gorgeous and she held back, yet still sang that big Carly Rose note and had a choir backing her up. I almost cried. Almost.

Tate sang a song I think was called "Tomorrow" but it might be "Tonight." I'm not really good with country music, as you can tell, but Tate makes you like country. I also forgot to mention earlier that they contacted every finalists' hometown (they picked Ally's for Fifth Harmony) and had the mayor there as well as their friends and co-workers and church and piano teachers. Khloe asked Tate's boss if he was expecting Tate at work, and he goes; "Hell no! I expect him to win this whole thing!" The mayor of Tate's hometown planned to add Tate's name on the water tower, which made Tate get emotional which did it for me. I'm voting for Tate now. Don't hate, I know Carly's an amazing singer but Tate is really good too and Carly's only 13. She already has an amazing future ahead of her, and this is Tate's only chance. Anyway, I loved Tate's last performance as well.

Fifth Harmony sang "Let it Be" and it was okay. Fine, it was good, but not great. It was too short and I didn't hear much harmony. I will be so so so shocked if they win. They won't.

And that's a wrap for tonight! Looking back, I think each act had their chance to shine. Tate had the best "Song of the Season" (first song) performance, Fifth Harmony had the best duet (thanks to Demi) and Carly Rose had the best 5 million dollar performance. I am SO excited to watch tomorrow's episode!
